about coco
hi, my name is colleen. somehow, somewhere i picked up the pseudonym ‘coco’. coco likes to refer to herself in the third person. i’m afraid of thunder and celine dion. even numbers are auspicious. lower caps make me swoon. i prefer baba ghanoush over hummus. i rode an ostrich once. babies and animals like me. republicans and celine dion fans…not so much. i’m (still) easily star-struck. i’m a sagittarius with a virgo sensibility. i always take surface streets. my handwriting makes my mother weep. you can talk to me about religion and politics. i’m a native new yorker who say’s ‘y’all’. i like wearing dresses. you can woo me with ee cummings and/or strong espresso. i don’t do the valley. i like to copy-edit menus. i’m a humanitarian worker, ergo i’m self-righteous and carry a passport. i’m also an actor, ergo i’m tragically flawed and carry a headshot. i hate the cold. my first crush was tom brokaw. i’m supposed to be doing my laundry right now.

coco, i don’t think ever welcomed you to LA! so welcome! you will find it is pretty bitchin’ here. the natives are not restless – actually, just nice – and the sun is always shining. when you have been here long enough you WILL be able to feel the seasons change but the good news is that white is okay after labor day and open-toed shoes can be worn all year round. so sit back and enjoy, maybe not so much driving?, and “soak up the sun” as cheryl crow would prescribe.
